Treasurer for Northampton Arts Collective Limited

Northampton Arts Collective Limited (NAC) is currently planning to recruit a treasurer to join its existing Board of directors.

NAC is a vibrant organisation which manages the exciting Fishmarket gallery in the heart of Northampton. This fantastic space housing a gallery, retail units and a cafe, is a central aspect in the cultural provision of the town and region, and is the embodiment of the values of our organisation. We bring nationally acclaimed art to the town, support Northampton based artists and creative people, and deliver educational and community projects.
NAC is governed by a small, highly-skilled, effective and dedicated board with knowledge of art, finance, law, education and public relations – which provides guidance and support to the organisation.

Becoming a board member would offer opportunities to;
• Shape, engage with and influence the cultural life of your community
• Connect with exciting creative businesses
• Develop and extend networks
• Enhance your leadership and governance experience
• Ensure the community has access to professional expertise and experience
Directors are required to attend bi-monthly meetings, and to make a commitment to a modest number of management tasks between meetings.

We are keen to recruit professionals from diverse backgrounds so that the governance of our organisation fully represents the communities within which we work. If you feel that you could make a contribution to the work of the organisation we would like to hear from you. Application will be by submission of a CV and letter stating your interest in NAC’s work and the skills you would bring to the board.
Closing date: 18th March 2010
